5 MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT BEING A BLOGGER

 Hello Lovelies! Today on the blog I’m talking more about this prevalent topic bloggers out there have talked about and still talking about and I ’m positive majority of them can relate to these misconceptions of being a blogger, most especially being a style/fashion blogger. We are perceived differently, that we have closet full of fashion clothes, blogging is easy and so on. Anyways, let’s get straight to the point shall we. Down below are the few misconceptions people have about Style/Fashion bloggers and bloggers in General.

 1.    BLOGGING IS EASY AND A FUN HOBBY

You wish! I actually don’t blame you if you think that way because, I thought so too before I started blogging and now that I’m a blogger I just have to give it to all consistent bloggers out there, because this is HARD WORK! Especially when you have to edit your pictures yourself, keep up with comments, check out other bloggers site, write content for your blog and not just your blog but write articles for advertisers, companies we are partnering with, reply emails. I even know most bloggers who take their pictures themselves, and the list keeps going. That’s why there aren’t many consistent bloggers out there because it’s just not as easy as we make it seem, there are so many brainstorming, research, strategy, hustle behind the scenes we don’t show Y’all. We work extremely hard to have a successful blog because unsuccessful blog results to little or no revenue. Coming from a blogger, this is hard work, we work round the clock and we get new readers everyday so we work extremely hard to make sure our readers stay consistent. Blogging isn't just centered in our life we still have other life activities to attend to, like school, work, relationships and so on, so, please respect our work and don’t think it’s easy or it’s fun (most days it is but the rest it’s just work) 

 2.    BLOGGERS RECEIVE FREE THINGS

Let’s clear this: When companies send us things to review, it is in no way considered free why? It’s because we are obliged to create a content based on that product, write article not just on the product but for the company in general and make sure it’s being reviewed to their satisfaction, make sure it’s approved by them and then they can proceed to sending you more free products whatever it may be. Either way, it's a win win task. So receiving things from companies is a hassle and can be hard work. We sometimes decline because there are certain rules you have to follow to actually get those free things. So sweet heart is never considered free, we work for them; if they were free don’t you think everyone will have free clothes and all? Nothing is free in this life you have to work for it.

 3.    BLOGGERS ARE RICH AND IT’S EASY TO MAKE MONEY BLOGGING

Okay first, if you are a blogger reading this and you are making a lot of money please email me at jamesbenita43@yahoo.com  or DM me on Instagram I just want to talk business with you that’s all. Where was I, oh yeah, you said making money as a blogger is easy, hahaha don’t be fooled. It’s not close to easy, it takes time and yes sometimes advertisers get their ads paid on successful blogs, we get paid for an article but they are not hard cash like the way You tubers get paid which is unfair. We get little which if you pile up and not touch can do something for you otherwise it’s just a decent amount of money and not real cash unless you are a famous blogger (sorry famous bloggers who shall remain nameless). If you want to make money blogging, have a year or two dedicated to it, grow your audience, because income is based on growth, consistency, quality and a lot of factors even at that it can’t be a guaranteed pay check it might come once a month or even seasonal.

So don’t start blogging thinking there is a lot of money coming from blogging. Good luck to you.

 4.    WE HAVE CLOSETS FULL OF FREE THINGS AND SPEND MONEY ON CLOTHES

That’s what you see, you don’t see us spending the money on intellectual things or giving 10% to God. Well even if we do, we work extremely hard to get the free things to spice up our wardrobe and we also work hard to gain revenue from our blog so yes we need spend on our self a little bit, buying one or two things which might benefit us as a blogger don’t you think so too? We earned it!

 5.    WE ARE STYLISH ALL THE TIME

True and False, True, in the sense we have to represent our self as the stylish blogger we portray on the blog wherever we go. What’s the essence of looking good for the blog if I can’t look good in reality for certain events and just taking a walk down to the super market or hanging out with friends? We need to look decent at least if not stylish.

False, in the sense well, some days are not slay days we are humans so we just pick whatever we lay our hands on and call it a day, looking stylish some days takes a whole village so yeah.
