SUN-KISSED IN AN OFF SHOULDER ANKARA TOP

Happy New Month Lovelies, I pray the blessings and favor that comes with this new month shall locate us and may the remaining 6 months be filled with good health, restoration and breakthrough. Today on the blog I am wearing an off shoulder top sown from an African print which we call “Ankara”. My wonderful sister traveled for a vacation and got me the material as well as the beautiful handmade bag, which complements the top.

Y’all, I received so many compliments at work when I wore this outfit, especially the hand made bag. My colleagues even said not to let the bag out of my sight otherwise they were going to take it home, Lol. I noticed Fridays here in Nigeria, a lot of people wear mostly Ankara, whether is to work, school, grocery shopping and so on, also on Sundays to Church.

I stopped by on Instagram this morning only to find out Instagram has launched a similar app to twitter called Threads, if I'm not mistaken and a lot of creators are already registering. Are you on the app? if yes, kindly let me know in the comments how it operates and if it's worth the hype.

So, I have a feeling my tailor did not understand the assignment given. She was supposed to sew a top and a maxi summer skirt with the material but the skirt was just not giving at all. I expressed my concerns to her and took it for an adjustment twice, but it still didn’t come out as I envisioned it, also it did not sit well on my body. I am quite slim and particular about the type of outfit I put on, so I instantly knew the skirt wasn’t for me, which got me pissed because the Ankara was high-priced. Maybe later in the future I'd decide on what to do with it. Imagine how beautiful these pictures would have turned out if I had worn the complete two piece.

Anyway, I decided to style the top with a simple office pants, heels, some simple jewelries and of course Sunglasses from Krasata Store. I was sun-kissed during the photo shot, you can see how hard the sun came out the play.
