HOW TO MAKE A BODY-CON DRESS WORK FOR YOU

Hello Lovelies! Doing well, I assume. We are discussing body-con dresses on the site today. Got mine from Rosegal.com  I know some ladies out there shy away from body-con dresses for some reasons and I feel they are thus
1. It draws  unwanted attention  2. It too alluring  3. Lack of confidence to just pull it off 4. Body conscious.
Me being slim I was just not confident enough to pull it off because I always felt like they are for the curvy ladies. Now that I’m a style blogger, I’ve decided to try some fashion risk for the blog and I’m here to say it’s not what you wear but indeed how you wear it. Sometimes society just make a certain type of rule when it comes to fashion for example,
saying wide legged pants are only for curvy ladies, skater dresses or skater skirts are for slim people, short skirts are for tall people and so on. No! nothing is precisely for anyone. At the end of the day, you need to know your body, what works for it or even manipulate how it can work for you, life is just too short and precious to follow a rule created by society, are you living for society or are you living for yourself?. Down below I’d be sharing a few tips on how to make a body-con dress work for you. Like what I’m wearing do click the links below to make a purchase.
Talk to you in my next post, be you, be safe, be kind, stay blessed and remain humble.

WHAT I’M WEARING
Body-con Dress (HERE) Dull Polished Circle Hoop Earrings (HERE) Heeled Sandals (HERE
Disclaimer: I’m not a professional fashion consultant, these are just my honest opinions I think might help.
1.      If you are blessed with some curves and you feel wearing a body-con dress just would draw the wrong attention or would just be too alluring. I’d advice going a size up just so it wouldn’t look to alluring on you, because you already have some curves, so don’t show too much. Now, dress it down, I’m talking throwing a blazer over it to toning it down a little which could make it seem casual or sophisticated. Accessories less, trust me this would help, don’t wear too much jewelries, shoes should look decent and not party like. If possible get you some pumps, why, because they just scream sophistication. Make up should be clean and simple. And finally strut and slay in your body-con dress.
 2.      Now, I’m talking to my slim ladies out there. Firstly, there are different types of  'slim', the pear shape, straight, boxed shaped, rectangular and so on. Figure out where flatters you the most and go a size down just so, you look lady like and not looking too slim with no body features if that makes any sense.  For more exaggerated curvy like look, you already know what am about to say…….cinched that waist to perfection with a nice statement belt to enhance your figure. Then, accessories right, wear some decent shoes and make up like I said earlier should be clean and simple.
3.      If you are of average height just get you a short body-con dress, short enough to show  your legs, that makes it seems like you look taller. i.e. it gives you height. Should you be curvy or slim, then you apply the tips have given above.

4.      If you are tall and have the same body features as me, look at the pictures one by one and see how I styled mine maybe it can help.
I hope this helps, for those who shy away from body-con dresses, don’t let society put you in a category as to what and what you can’t wear. If you know anybody who might need these tips just refer them here.

  32. I bet curvy ladies also thought that bodycon dresses are for slender figures as well! you're right we should stop labeling that some style is only for some category of people. at the end it is all about how you style it to own the look! i mean look at you, you look smashing! <3
